Dr. Khoury holds  a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and Chemistry and a Doctor of Medicine Degree from the American University of Beirut in 1982.

He completed his general surgery PGY I and II residency training at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center, Miami, Florida.  He then attended Harvard University/Beth Israel Hospital Boston, Massachusetts for his General Surgery PGY III and PGY IV residency training.

He finished his General  surgery Chief Residency followed by    one full year as Chief Resident in Vascular Surgery  at Tufts University/Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.

He completed one year of ClinicalFellowship in Hyperalimentation /Surgical Critical Care   at  Harvard University/Deaconess Hospital Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Khoury spent one year in Cardiovascular Research at Boston University with a focus on Myocardial preservation during Heart Bypass Surgery and published his work in the Annals of Thoracic Surgery.

Dr. Khoury also spent one year in Surgical Research at Harvard University/ Beth Israel Hospital in Boston.

He has a special interest and additional training in the field of endovascular surgery and in the minimally invasive treatment of vascular disease.

Dr Khoury directs the Vascular Laboratory at his office and is a certified Vascular Technologist and a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation.

Dr Khoury is a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery and American Board of Nutrition.

He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.  He is member of regional, national, and international Vascular Surgery Societies. He had been involved in research in the fields of :

  • Myocardial preservation, the use of pressure intermittent coronay sinus occlusion.
  • Role of W-3 Fatty Acids in modulating the inflammatory response to infection and trauma
  • Early postoperative enteral feeding and the preservation of the gut immunologic function
  • Combination of Medical and Chemical Thrombolysis in Arterial and Venous Occlusive Diseases

Dr.  Khoury is specialized in vascular surgery, cancer surgery and breast cancer surgery, and advanced Laparoscopy

He has over 20 years of experience in areas like these:

  • Endovascular minimally invasive catheter based on procedures.   Experience since 1994 with other 3000 PROCEDURES AND CURRENTLY AVERAGING  300-400 YEARLY.
  • Vascular,   Cerebrovascular carotid vertebral procedures,  Carotid Endarterectomy  with over 500 procedures, over 100 Carotid stents procedures.
  • Thrombolytic service pioneer service since 1993 with personal experience in over 250 cases WITH THE FIRST CASES IN PREGANCY IN THE WORLD.
  • Innovating Pulmonary Embolism treatment since 1993 with one of the largest experiences in the nation, over 75 cases.
